What happened to the paper bags?

I understand that we have to say goodbye to the plastic bags we were used to, and I understand. Now we have to use reusable bags or we can pay five cents for a paper bag. Unfortunately, I feel like the paper bag has changed and no one seems to be talking about it.

I didn’t mind the elimination of plastic bags at all, and I don’t mind paying pennies for a paper bag. I have reusable bags, but actually remembering to bring them with me is another story. Most of the time I end up getting paper bags which I didn’t mind as you can fit a fair amount of groceries in them. At least you could charge them.

The paper bags here in 2021 are not the same bags I used to cover my textbooks with during my school days. These new paper bags are super thin and cannot hold anything that could be weighty. Nine times out of ten I shop for groceries, eventually the bags tear as I try to get them home.

I know in the end I should probably think about bringing my reusable bags, but marijuana is legal now so don’t expect my memory to improve. Am I the only one who thinks they changed paper bags and tried to hide it from everyone? Leave your comments and thoughts below.
